Brand Brain
Brand Brain is Social Neuron's brand intelligence system. It learns who you are -- your voice, your audience, your visual identity -- and applies that knowledge to everything you create. Every piece of content, from a TikTok caption to a YouTube script, stays on-brand without you having to repeat yourself.
What Brand Brain Does
Once set up, Brand Brain works behind the scenes across the entire platform:
- Content generation -- Every prompt, script, and caption is shaped by your brand voice
- Video briefs -- Hooks, scripts, and visual suggestions match your style
- Autopilot mode -- Automated content stays on-brand even when you are not watching
- Brand consistency checks -- Flag content that drifts from your guidelines before it goes live
You only set up Brand Brain once. After that, it applies automatically to every tool in Social Neuron -- ideation, creation, scheduling, and beyond.
Setting Up Your Brand Profile
The Brand Profiler wizard walks you through five steps:
| Step | What You Do | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1. URL or Business Name | Enter your website URL or business name | Social Neuron analyzes your site for brand signals |
| 2. Research | Review what was found | Your website, social presence, and public information are analyzed |
| 3. Profile Review | Edit and refine the extracted profile | Adjust anything that does not look right |
| 4. Content Ideas | Browse AI-generated ideas based on your brand | Ideas are tailored to your voice and audience |
| 5. First Script | Pick an idea and generate a full script | Your first piece of on-brand content |
You can also skip the wizard entirely and build your profile manually from the Brand Voice page in settings.
What Gets Extracted
When you provide a website URL, Brand Brain extracts the following:
Identity
- Brand name, tagline, and mission statement
- Industry classification and competitive positioning
Personality and Voice
- Brand archetype (e.g., Creator, Explorer, Sage)
- Tone dimensions -- how formal, humorous, respectful, and enthusiastic your brand sounds
- Language patterns to use and patterns to avoid
- Sample content that represents your voice
Audience
- Target demographics (age range, location, interests)
- Psychographics (pain points, aspirations, values)
- Audience personas with per-persona tone adjustments
Content Strategy
- Content pillars -- the weighted topics your brand talks about
- Vocabulary rules -- preferred terms, banned terms, branded terminology
- Writing style rules -- readability level, perspective, emoji and hashtag preferences
Visual Identity
- Logo and color palette (primary, secondary, accent)
- Typography preferences (heading and body fonts)
Video Rules
- Pacing, color grading, audio mood
- Text overlay style, B-roll aesthetic, transition preferences
The more information your website contains, the more accurate the extraction. Sites with an about page, clear branding, and social links produce the richest profiles.
Platform Voice Overrides
Different platforms call for different tones. Brand Brain lets you set per-platform overrides so your LinkedIn posts sound professional while your TikTok captions stay casual -- all without losing your core brand identity.
Supported platforms for voice overrides:
- Twitter / X
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Threads
Each override can adjust tone, style, hashtag strategy, and call-to-action patterns. When you generate content for a specific platform, Brand Brain automatically applies the right override.
How It Improves Over Time
Brand Brain is not static. It uses a feedback loop to get better with each piece of content you create:
- You create and publish content through Social Neuron
- Analytics track what performs -- which posts get engagement, shares, and conversions
- High-performing patterns surface -- the tones, hooks, and topics that resonate with your audience
- Future content reflects what works -- proven patterns are weighted higher in recommendations
The more you use the platform, the sharper Brand Brain gets at predicting what your audience wants to see.
Brand Consistency Checking
Before content goes live, you can run a brand consistency check. This compares your draft against your brand profile and flags potential issues:
- Tone drift (too formal when your brand is casual, or vice versa)
- Off-brand vocabulary or phrases
- Missing brand elements (no CTA, no hashtags when your style calls for them)
- Audience mismatch (content targeting the wrong persona)
Consistency checking is available in the content editor and through the API via the check_brand_consistency tool.
Tips for Best Results
Provide your website URL. Even a simple site gives Brand Brain concrete signals to work with -- colors, copy, and positioning are all extracted automatically.
Upload brand guidelines. If you have a brand book, style guide, or tone-of-voice document, upload it on the Brand Voice page. This gives Brand Brain the clearest possible picture of your standards.
Give examples of content you like. Brand Brain supports positive and negative content examples with annotations. Show it a post you loved and explain why, or flag a post that missed the mark.
Review and refine. After the initial extraction, spend a few minutes on the Brand Voice page adjusting anything that does not look right. Small corrections early save you from repeated fixes later.
Use the version history. Brand Brain keeps a full version history of your profile with rollback support. If a change makes things worse, you can revert to any previous version instantly.
Brand Brain works best when your profile is complete. Profiles missing key sections (like audience or content pillars) produce more generic results. Check the completeness indicator on the Brand Voice page and fill in any gaps.
Versioning and Rollback
Every change to your brand profile creates a new version. You can:
- View the full history of changes with human-readable summaries
- Compare any two versions to see exactly what changed
- Roll back to a previous version with one click
This means you can experiment freely -- try a new tone, adjust your content pillars, or refine your audience targeting -- knowing you can always go back.
