Integrations
Integrations is where you connect the social accounts Social Neuron publishes to. Connections are organized by brand -- each brand (project) has its own set of connected accounts, so an agency or multi-brand team never mixes up which Instagram account belongs to which client.
Connecting an Account
- Go to Integrations and select the brand you want to connect accounts for
- Click the platform you want to add
- You are redirected to that platform's official OAuth screen to authorize access
- You land back in Social Neuron with the account connected and ready to publish to
Social Neuron never asks for or stores your social media password. Every connection uses the platform's own OAuth flow, and Bluesky uses an AT Protocol app password (also never your main account password).

Organized by Brand
Connected accounts are grouped by organization, then brand, then platform. If you manage more than one brand -- an agency with multiple clients, or a business running separate product lines -- each brand's connected accounts stay scoped to that brand. When you generate or schedule content inside a brand, only that brand's connected accounts show up as publishing targets. There is no risk of a draft for Client A accidentally going out through Client B's Instagram.
Your plan's brand and project limits determine how many brands you can run at once. See Credits and Plans for the current limits per tier.
Reconnecting an Expired Account
Social platforms periodically expire or revoke access tokens -- this is normal and happens outside of Social Neuron's control (a password change, a security review, or a token simply reaching its expiry window). When this happens:
- You will see a Reconnect prompt next to the affected account in Integrations
- Click Reconnect and go through the platform's OAuth screen again
- Scheduled posts waiting on that account resume automatically once the connection is restored
Nothing is deleted when a connection expires -- your account stays saved, and reconnecting is a matter of re-authorizing, not starting over.
If a scheduled post fails because a connection expired, you will get a notification. Reconnect the account and retry the post from Assets or Schedule -- you do not need to recreate it.
How Your Tokens Are Protected
- Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest before they ever touch the database
- Tokens are decrypted only at the moment Social Neuron needs to call the platform's API on your behalf
- Disconnecting an account revokes access with the platform (where the platform supports revocation) and removes the stored tokens
- All connection data is scoped to your account -- other users, including teammates on shared brands, never see your raw tokens

Disconnecting an Account
Go to Integrations, select the account, and choose Disconnect. This revokes Social Neuron's access on the platform side where supported and removes the connection from your dashboard. Content already published to that platform is not affected -- only future publishing through Social Neuron stops until you reconnect.
