Carousels
Carousels are Social Neuron's multi-slide, swipe-through format -- the same format that drives some of the highest save rates on Instagram. Describe what you want, and Social Neuron generates a full set of slides, renders each one as a real image in your brand's colors and fonts, checks them for quality issues, and hands you a finished carousel ready to publish.
How Carousels Get Made
Carousels can start from two places:
- AI Agent Chat -- describe the carousel you want in conversation ("make a 6-slide carousel breaking down our new pricing"), and the agent writes the slide copy, generates the carousel, and shows you a preview of every rendered slide right in the chat
- Recipes -- a workflow recipe (like a weekly content plan or a repurpose task) can include carousel generation as one of its steps, so a batch of carousels comes out the other end of an automated run
Either way, the output is the same: a set of finished slide images, not just text you have to design yourself. A carousel typically runs 3-10 slides (7 is a common default) -- enough to develop an idea without losing the swipe-through momentum that makes the format work.
Rendered Slides, Not Just Copy
Every slide is rendered as a real image -- your brand's colors, fonts, and logo are applied automatically from your brand profile. Social Neuron uses editorial, photo-first slide templates, so carousels look like designed content rather than a text box on a plain background.
When you generate a carousel through Agent Chat, you see the actual rendered slides appear in the conversation as a preview player -- you can flip through them before approving, the same way you would review a finished design file.
Quality Check Before You Publish
Before a carousel is finished, each slide runs through an automatic quality check:
- Text fit -- makes sure the copy actually fits the slide at its assigned font size, with no clipped or overflowing text
- Spelling -- catches typos in generated copy before they reach a live post
- Visual read -- the rendered slide image itself is checked (not just the source text) to confirm the on-slide text renders cleanly
If a slide fails any check, it is automatically regenerated rather than shipped with a visible defect. You do not need to manually proofread every slide -- the gate catches the most common failure mode of AI-generated carousels (text that looked fine as a string but doesn't fit the design).
You can always review the rendered preview yourself before publishing, even though the quality check already ran. If you want a different angle or tone, ask the agent to regenerate specific slides rather than the whole set.
Publishing
Finished carousels publish to Instagram as a native carousel album -- the same swipeable multi-image post format Instagram users expect, up to 10 slides per post. Like any other content in Social Neuron, a carousel lands in Assets first, where you can preview, edit the caption, or send it straight to Schedule.
